G'day, recently treated myself to one of these bikes, seems great so far, only issue seems to be the inside on the battery flap seems to be a sand/dirt trap making it tricky to undo and do up again. (Battery comes out to charge in the house)

Anyone else had this issue and found a way to stop it?

Thanks in advance

maybe some pictures of your flaps my help.

we had the E160, the motor used to collect mud, but the battery flap wasn't an issue. currently we have the elyte evo which is flap less

I have an E160 which has the same design battery cover. I get a bit of mud collecting in mine when I don't remove the battery for a while but never have trouble taking it off. I just rinse it off and put it back on. How does the mud make it tricky to undo? If it affects putting it back on just clean it

Because it seems to find all sand, it's quite gritty and then making it stiff to pull the lever thing and then takes a bit of a whack to close it back up

Cheers

I believe mildbore summed it up, give your flaps a rinse more frequently 😱
