Middleburn square taper 4 arm 64 / 104 pcd XC Spider For Rs7 Three ring setup to a Shimano deore 104, 32 tooth middle ring.
It fits okay on the outer face where the big ring locates but appears too big for the middle ring location faces of the spider.
The spider is orientated correctly and attached to the crank arm correctly also.

Try hitting it with a bigger hammer.
Hopefully someone from the collective will be along shortly with a better answer for you.

5mins with a file is all that's needed.
had same problem with fitting Deore middle (36T) ring on my saints

just file the ring to suit 😉
