Was out on the weekend and yesterday... Felt great going down, as one with the bike. Really flowing.
Today, riding trails that I've ridden the last few days nothing clicked.... Screwing up berms, mistiming jumps and drops. Nearly stacked it at one point, but somehow managed to stay on.
Rode like a complete fanny.
Just think yourself lucky you can go riding on a Thursday!
Same reason that some days Everything Is Awesome. Can't have one without the other. Some days you win the world champs, other days you ride into a pickup truck
For me its usually fatigue, overdoing it on a previous ride for example.
So long as you're riding everything is clicking (unless it's your job). Not clicking is staring at a screen questioning your very existence whilst more tedious work stacks up.
Funny is it. I'm still annoyed that my one and only time riding at Fruita in Colorado I rode like a complete spanner, just couldn't get anything right and as a result really didn't enjoy what should have been up in my list of top rides ever. Note to self must go back one day for another go ๐
If it's any consolation it can happen to the best of sports folk, and probably contributes to why watching sport is fun, as there is always a chance of an upset.
Well, I've been in Finale for a month now. Riding roughly every other day... First ride here I was ko'd... Probably bit off more than I could chew... But since that ride I've felt good on the bike, picking up Strava PBs on just about every ride, but today was a nightmare... I didn't drink anything other than one beer yesterday... Wonder if that had an impact....
As they say; some days you are the dog, some days you are the lamp-post
I can't get past the fact that you've been in Italy riding your bike for the last month whilst on the other hand, ive been at work...
^^ sorry dude.... Only another four weeks and I too will be back to the grind....
Confidence innit
