I say tomorrow, even though it's actually today.

I won't be able to as I have MIL, FIL, x2 BIL and SIL here at my place and we're all the better for it.

I'll get out on a new bike (Xmas pressie from Mrs FITP) on Boxing day but not tomorrow.

Best get to bed now and allow the fat man down the chimney

EDIT: Bit pissed, but merry Christmas to you all

It's an Xmas present, it would be rude not to have a go

Me! I'm riding in the slop for about 20 miles then heading to the office to clean up and change then into town for beers and a meal with friends. A bit of a slump followed by a couple of beers at the local and then back home.
What can possibly go wrong? 😀

Yes, merry crimbo everyone!

I’m chief chef for 8 of us for a 4 day family Xmas so I’m allowed a quick hour spin.

We will all go to the pub at 12 for an hour too- the missus isn’t stressed over timings as it’s all on me. I’m well ahead though, I’ve even marinated the meat for the Boxing Day Indian meze!!

Singlespeeds ready in the garage for a quick spin tomorrow morning. It's thick heavy clay here and the only thing that works after a few feet is a rigid singlespeed.

No ride for me on the day (today in fact) but will be out on a mission on Dartmoor the day after boxing day with a group of mates. A pub or three will be involved..

Can't decide what to do, given Mrsgoat might not be up until at least 10 going on yesterday, when she woke with some form of lurgy...

1: Head on the Wazoo in the changeable conditions, to either do either local hill reps, or a ~25-mile round trip to Beacon Hill.

2: Set the new turbo up and try the "add some waypoints on the Elite app map and we will present you with a virtual representation of it."

1 means I might get wet (plus it's still very dark out there at 0755 from cloud cover) and might get back to an upset Mrsgoat, because she got up at a decent time, 2 might wake her up early than she intended to (I didn't get any feedback on noise levels when calibrating yesterday in kitchen).

... First world problems! 😆

I'm off out in an hour or so. Off to my other half's family late morning, but she's already there, so, a bit of a free pass for a few hours. Plus I need to make some space for the large amount of food I intend to eat.

It's somehow still dark, and looks a little wet, but I've barely ridden this month due to a stupid chest infection. I'm almost better now, so I'm taking advantage.

Someone start a Christmas holiday riding pics thread when you like.
There is a slim chance I'll be out on boxing day, if not I have a ride locked in for Saturday.

Heading out in an hour or so.

Lovely day for it but it's gonna be a mudbath I can tell already.

After faffing about, trying to swap from my Gravdal studded tyes to an old pair of CX tyres, ended up doing ~1700 feet of local hill reps in Frankenbike mode (33mm front on 29er wheel, 4" JJ on 26er fat rear) after killing another innerturbe while swapping tyres!

I've killed more tubes through tyre swaps than on the road punctures this year, something like ~6 vs 2! 😆

Out at first light for a wet and windy lap of Newland and Whinlatter passes. It'd have been rude not to.

Had planned a 90 min escape last night but the missus and MIL £@#*ed me off and put an end to that. Shitty Christmas so far, brightened only by monkey jnr exuberance.

Aiming to head out tomo regardless of any shit that comes my way.

Went for a ride before. Sunny but very windy on the tops. Hardly any mud though so all together a really enjoyable Christmas day ride.

An hour along Fife Coastal Path. Slow, sandy and muddy. And rain.
Worth it though

Was meant to do 20miler to meet the Mrs for a 10 mile forest ride then 15 miles home. It was wet and chuffing cold. Had to wait 10mins for OH to arrive and by the time we got going I'd got cold. Short run then back to van and I bailed out of the return. Was good to get out though.

Out for 90 minutes. Always ride on Christmas Day. I had planned an early start, but 4hrs of sleep and there was no chance. A bigger roast would have seen a longer ride 😉

Just 6 miles going to Nan's grave then back through the woods.

I've been neglecting my riding recently and it was the first time I'd been on the MTB for ages as I normally use the Hybrid so, despite only a short ride, it was brilliant.

New Years Resolution is to get out on the MTB more like I used to.

Hour-and-a-half at Rivington. Good fun despite the rain & mud.
