Go on then. Remember you have to get other matching bits as well

Yes, red Hope road hubs on my (red & black) CX. Laced with black spokes onto ceramic (so mostly black) rims. Looks very nice but the only pic I can find is this one from the Todmorden CX race (photo by gingerflash)

BillyBull you tart! Whats wrong with your black hope hubs and black rims? If you gonna change then i reckon gunsmoke as it will tie in with the SLX stuff.

Is this anodized fetish an ironic nod back to the early 90's or do people still actually buy it for colour coordination?

I don't mind it, I'm just curious.

Sorry but no pictures showing them 🙁

Got red Hopes built onto black 717 with black spokes and also a pair of blue Hopes built the same.

Not sure of my favourites to be honest ! Both sets looking good after several years of use and abuse !

I have some red hubs, black spokes and ZTR Olympic rims (nice light wheels), sorry but no piccis.
Also have a matching red Hope bottom bracket
The bike is a Rocky Mountain ETSX with yellow / black flame effect paint job, effectively giving me a bike in the colours of the German flag, not something I'd considered when blindly purchasing.

Remember red goes faster...

No no, less is more. Colour highlights are fine, red hubs, or red seat post collar, or red headset by all means, but just picking all the same colour from the Hope parts bin on one bike makes it look crap. GJP's subtly looks waay better.

Captain's bike looks too perfect to ride. The kind of bike you'd hang up on your wall to admire while your 'real' mountain bike is ignored - lying wet and muddy in the garage.

Personally, I like the use of same colour finishing kit. Now if only I wasn't so tight and lazy as to think £25 and a rebleed is too much money and too much work to change my piston cap and levers. 🙄

Minish Man, to rise to the bait as its Sunday
1) It is my only bike, gets ridden twice a week and has had loads of prangs - bent mech hanger, broken bars, bug**red rear mech etc etc
2) I got all the red bits thrown in as part of the deal on buying the new bike.

Also, I really like thefirstpancake's and nickc's bikes. Methinks that when I ding my DT 4.2 cheese rims next year some white replacements look like they might be top of the list
