[Closed] Which spokes and where from?

Further to my which rim? thread, I've now got my Open Pros and a Hope rear/Shimano M525 hubs for my dirt road commuter.

But which spokes should I go for, and who does the best prices?

I'm thinking double butted, but as it's my commuter I don't really want to spend a quid plus per spoke.

So are there any decent spoke deals around?

They are 36 hole rims, and I have panniers and stuff and clatter along rough tracks as well as roads. Might also play at a couple of CX races in the winter too.

Rims are silver, so stainless will probably look best, considering my "aesthetic preferences".

Do I just need to bite the bullet and get DT Comps?

I've used ACI Alpina many times without problems.
Very similar to DT comps but much cheapness

DT Swiss spokes are pretty cheap from Rose.

For budget wheels with out to much compromise I use aci both for my own hacks and at work
The Finnish is not as good as Dt but everything else is fine

Sapim race are much like DT Comp but slightly shorter butts and available at a much more reasonable 45p each from Spa cycles. Think you can order on line but I always give them a call as they don't bite.

Thanks all.

Gone for DT Comps from Rose Bikes as they had the best fit in terms of sizes, quantity, price etc.
