i would like to nominate melksham cycle centre. had placed an order with them for the re issue zaskar frame (which i was going to p/x my 06 stumpy fsr fame towards.) but they kept getting messed around by the g t importers as to when the frame was going to turn up. eventually in feb 08 after i had paid for the frame, they apologised to me (even though it wasn't their fault.) they said i could choose another frame.cheekily i asked if i could go for an 08 s works hardtail frame, and ride it whilst paying the final £500 for it.to my shock, they agreed (even when i told them that i was unemployed.) am now ordering a 2010 anthem x 4 from them.a great shop. ps i nicked this from a question posted on bikeradar (where i posted this answer also.apologies!!!)
LeisureLakes in Wolverhampton have been very good to me this year - promptly sorted out some Whyte warranty issues when I didn't buy the bike from them. They have had a fair bit of business from me since but that's the way it goes - If I get good service I'm much more likely to go back 🙂
The lads and lasses at Cycle Surgery (Strype Street EC3) have gone the extra yard for me before, not just the once either.
Superstar Components (TangoBravo specifically) for posting lots on here to make sure we know the 'truth' about their products.
Nirvana Cycles, westcott spent alot of time trying to get hold of a certain bike frame for me from a brand they didnt officially stock but I really wanted
I've had noting but great service at Freeborn Esher.
Bike Bristol - it's probably because I've started to get to know the lads quite well over the last few years. But I think they reached new levels of service when due to being unable to fit my bike in for repair, the mechanic offered to lend me his own bike (few grands worth). Like I said, I've got to know them quite well, but still that surprised me!
And I suppose wiggle for constantly delivering next working day even though I don't opt for next day delivery...
Bike City - Wells
CycleSurgery Holborn for spending about 6 hours sorting out the bearings on my Five but only charging me for 2 hours
BikeTreks for sorting out my freewheel and spending time checking the bearings and refusing to take a penny (that was Gareth I think)
For me personally, Psyclewerx in Bristol for lending me their demo Nicolai when my crappy full susser was broken, taking me out night riding for the first time ever, and too much other stuff to mention.
For the volunteer group I run, Psyclewerx again plus Pemburys, Zero G, Mud Dock and Bristol Bike Workshop for financial support, donations of gear to give away, and more.
Another vote here for BIKECITY in Wells. They go the extra mile- too much to list here!
A big thank you to the boys of Grafham Cycles for all the help they have given to me and the family as and when needed. Late in the evening, before weekends away and sorting last minute panics in the mornings before going to races!!!!!!
:O)
