build time tonight.. 8)
phew, was having some bad images there!!! 🙂
How long before you sell me the frame for the price of an inbred Ton?
In all seriousness I really hope you like it...
SQUUUEEEEAAALLLL For me piggie. You;re going to have to fit Hope brakes, Ton 🙂
We can have a piggie owners club meeting @ the Ogden Water ride!
I am interested in reading the reviews of the mmBop frames when they are about, as bar missing ISCG tabs they look very good.
where is mine?
Good choice Ton. I'm loving mine, never been a big fork man and use to XC race bikes but loving the Pig
Climbs well (mines 30lbs) and i'm use to 21 lbs Singlespeeds! I love the way it comes down to getting use to just pinning the front into corners.Found a new techy set off steps i want to try and a sweet tech downhill. Makes you like a big kid again 🙂
So you sold the Chumba then Ton or is this in addition ?
I'm glad you're getting a Blue Pig, Ton, I always thought the Chumba was no good.... 😉
si, chumba and forks are for sale as we speak..........cheap cheap.. 8)
Seriously, do you ride these things, decide they're no good then change them, or do you just like to change bikes a lot?
I'm not making any judgement on it, just interested in whether everything you try is not up to standard, or whether that's irrelevant and you just get bored of them and fancy a new one.
BigDummy
i ride them all mate.
since i bought the chumba it has been to the lakes twice, nan bield, gatesgarth, garburn, a trip to grizedale.
i has done a 30 miler on the north yorks moors, and a tough test round the pennines on sunday, it also has done a few night rides round calderdale and huddersfield.
thing is, when you are as big as me, where do you get a test ride.
shops will not spec a bike up suitable for you to test.
so i buy them and try them.
i also do get bored of bikes pretty quick, and i am in a good situation to try what i fancy really.
How many bikes do you have on the go at once Ton? I have 2 at the moment but they're both very similar (575 & Meta 6). What do you have?
just 2 mate, the ventana and a sand on one 29r for work.
the chumba is stripped and ready to sell.
ton - never found something you like then ?
That's a nice team white you have in the background there Ton. Can we get a better look?
the_lecht_rocks
the ventana is the one that is for keeps mate.
but like beers, one is never enough.. 😉

That be my pic there fella....no full pics of the van though sorry. Will be at Vanfest on Sunday though
Ton - If work was a bit more secure at the moment i would have a punt on it but i really can't.
You not interested in the Blur now ? Only £600 for the frame, headset, clamp and HTII BB 😉
How long ago did you get rid of the Cove mate. That was a really nice looking bike.
si, i will swap you the frame and forks for the blur.
it would make a nice bike for my lad....
deal or what??

i did not get on with it mate, far too harsh at the back..
Fair enough. Looked really nice though. As a big dude do you recommend the 29er? I found them a bit sluggish, nightmare on Northshore but I only had one for a few hours...
the slower you are going, the harder work they become imho....
i said i was gonna try and stick to 29rs for good, but they just do not seem as much fun as a 26'' wheeled bike.
the ventana is ace, at speed and on the downs, but that is hard work at slow speeds too and nigh on impossible to get off the floor.
I did a demo of the Niners - hardtail & full sus earlier this year and they both felt really tight to ride, like the wheelbase was too short. I then jumped on a Trek Top Fuel 9.9 - Full Carbon 22lbs and it was like jumping out of a saloon into a sports car.
Will try them again at some point though!
What size did you buy ton? (prays its a 18")
ton i assume you mean the Blur Frame not the whole bike ?
If thats the case let me have a think about it over the weekend and I'll e-mail you early next week.
si, i meant your frame for my frame and forks.. 8)
Ton lots of bikes since the Santa you brought to Kielder. What about tandem?
Ton have you still got the wheels as well or are they sold ?
wheels have gone mate.....sorry
Ok I'll come back to you early next week 😉
