How long before you sell me the frame for the price of an inbred Ton?

In all seriousness I really hope you like it...

I am interested in reading the reviews of the mmBop frames when they are about, as bar missing ISCG tabs they look very good.

Good choice Ton. I'm loving mine, never been a big fork man and use to XC race bikes but loving the Pig

Climbs well (mines 30lbs) and i'm use to 21 lbs Singlespeeds! I love the way it comes down to getting use to just pinning the front into corners.Found a new techy set off steps i want to try and a sweet tech downhill. Makes you like a big kid again 🙂

Seriously, do you ride these things, decide they're no good then change them, or do you just like to change bikes a lot?

I'm not making any judgement on it, just interested in whether everything you try is not up to standard, or whether that's irrelevant and you just get bored of them and fancy a new one.

BigDummy
i ride them all mate.
since i bought the chumba it has been to the lakes twice, nan bield, gatesgarth, garburn, a trip to grizedale.
i has done a 30 miler on the north yorks moors, and a tough test round the pennines on sunday, it also has done a few night rides round calderdale and huddersfield.

thing is, when you are as big as me, where do you get a test ride.
shops will not spec a bike up suitable for you to test.
so i buy them and try them.

i also do get bored of bikes pretty quick, and i am in a good situation to try what i fancy really.

How many bikes do you have on the go at once Ton? I have 2 at the moment but they're both very similar (575 & Meta 6). What do you have?

Ton - If work was a bit more secure at the moment i would have a punt on it but i really can't.

You not interested in the Blur now ? Only £600 for the frame, headset, clamp and HTII BB 😉

Fair enough. Looked really nice though. As a big dude do you recommend the 29er? I found them a bit sluggish, nightmare on Northshore but I only had one for a few hours...

the slower you are going, the harder work they become imho....
i said i was gonna try and stick to 29rs for good, but they just do not seem as much fun as a 26'' wheeled bike.
the ventana is ace, at speed and on the downs, but that is hard work at slow speeds too and nigh on impossible to get off the floor.

I did a demo of the Niners - hardtail & full sus earlier this year and they both felt really tight to ride, like the wheelbase was too short. I then jumped on a Trek Top Fuel 9.9 - Full Carbon 22lbs and it was like jumping out of a saloon into a sports car.

Will try them again at some point though!
