I'm looking at buying a Giant Anthem, and the best price I have seen so far is with £550 of list.

I then stumbled across a retailer that does price match even on sale bikes, but to be fair I've not heard of them before.

So are there any other retailers out there that sell Giant bikes that could offer price match??

Ta

TBH, I'd just walk in and say

"I want to buy this today, Joe Bloggs LBS in Anytown will do it for £n, I'd rather shop local so if you can match that, the deal's yours"

Why not just buy it from the place that currently has it cheapest? 😕

Because some one else may want to sell it to me for less 🙂 why pay more than needs be?

I've emailed my LBS to see what response I get, I'd like to buy from them, supporting local businesses and all that, but I'm not prepaired to support them to the tune of £550... will see what response I get.

Dunno what model you're looking at but here's an Anthem with £750.05 off

or if you really want to go nuts, £2,325.05 off

I always find that willingness to do the deal there and then is the key to getting the price.
Emailing them won't have the same effect or result IMO

BoardinBob I looked at that 2010 X1 and decided on the 2011 model due to 3 x 10 and bolt through axle, and preffered the colour 🙂
