A Poplock or a pushlock if you want to push the boat out
I have a Pushlock on one bike and a Poplock on the other. The metal Pushlock looks like its been sculpted to take a chunk out of your knee in a crash, plus it lacks the compression damping dial that the poplock has.
Given the choice I'd probably go for the poplock.
i will go and have a look in the shed , should have a std poplock and a compression adjust one

Is that metal filings / swarf I spy sprinkled over the fork? If you've just cut the steerer tube down make sure that none of those bits are on the seals, if they get underneath the seals they won't do your stanchions any good.
