Mainly for cross country, so not too hot and sweaty.
Yes I do fall off.
Any ideas? low budget, £30 ish

Hi jkomo,

Although i cannot advise too much at the moment i have just ordered some TLD Shock Doctor 5400 Knee Pads (although they do a Knee/Shin Guard - 5450's), i will let you know what they are like once i have tried them out.
Bought them mainly because of their small/slim appearance for the same use as yourself. Currently £37.99 on Mountainbikebitz (for the Knee Pads).

I had problems trying to get Troy Lee 5400 to fit, I started off ordering them in a medium going by the size guide and in the end ended up with them in a XS and they still feel baggy at the top.

I've got some TLD Knee Guards - same as http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=25235 - only 2 straps, no knee strap but they are massively comfortable, could easily ride all day in them.
