Ok should I go for this http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/mountain-bike-chainsets/shimano-lx-chainset-26-36-48-rings.html or for this http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/mountain-bike-chainsets/shimano-deore-590-chainset.html.
Obviously the LX has larger chainrings which I dont mind as most of my riding is done in bedfordshire which is pretty flat but not sure if the Deore 2010 would be better?!

lx stuff is now a so-called 'trekking' groupset, hence the larger gears.
if its for a mtb, i'd go with the deore.

I will be ordering the Deore for my new build soon'ish! the older LX is perfect if your going to strip it down for a double and a bash, but as a triple its a too big for an mtb, just my thoughts!
