I was gona get a nuke proof mega but the arnt due to come until late january, just wondering weather I should just go for a commencal meta 6 frame, what do u think?
Na
Covert.
the meat 6 frame is an amazing price
almost same price as meta 6 though
I'm vegetarian so would have to have the meta (and not the meat).
almost same price as meta 6 though
They are both MTB frames, thats where the similarities end.
Some say the Meta 6 is a bit heavy and steep.
What's yr budget and are you definitely after frame only?
definitely frame only and 900 quid nothing over
weights not really my issue I want a bike that will be ok on the ups but amazing on the downs
My friend has a Mega and says it's incredible descending, OK climbing and a bit lacklustre on the flat.
Couple of offers on CRC...
Kona Dawg Supreme
Yeti 575
You could get an Angleset for the Kona to get close to 66degrees on the head angle.
Erm, have you seen that CRC appear to have bought all the old Commencal stock - due mid December - some real bargains to be had there.
yeh but a meta 6 for 900 with a Crank Brothers Joplin with remote seat post
and dont have to wait 2 and a half months for it
Actually I just had a look at the Meta 6 out of curiosity and it has a standard 67.5deg headangle with swappable head tube inserts to go +/- one degree.
So ignore my comment abiout it being steep.
Sounds like you've already decided you want it anyway though.
😉
Erm you seem to want the meta?
Id get the Mega.
hmmmm i dont know there both amazing bikes, have no clue which is better
What size you looking for? We have a raw medium with 100quid off, in stock now, it has the 2012 chainstay upgrade too

unfortunally i need a large :/
I love my Meta 6 and find it way more useable than I thought. It's happy in the Alps or riding the local Singletrack. So much so that I've decided to sell my 5" travel Santa Cruz Nickel as I hardly ever ride it.
Be warned though that the standover height on the large Meta 6 isn't great. You also need to have the Maxle on the rear or it all gets a bit bendy.
If you need any more Meta 6 info let me know.
i dont really know but does stand height effect u more if ur small?
I guess it depends if you have short legs!
one thing ive not got is short legs so i think i will be fine :p
