I went for the Garmin Vivosmart HR, went to the local Department store and tried it on, worked out the specs were what I was after first. What you planning on trying?

Garmin Vivosmart was on the list, along with Fitbit Blaze - otherwise open-minded
Well the Vivosmart does the HRM for my Garmin 810, lasted a weekish on charge, does the steps etc. the push notification come through fine from my Nexus short messages fine, tells you if you want to look at it and you can run your chosen music app.
My local running shop (Run 4 It) has a few of the Garmin Vivo things, and maybe Fitbit as well.
