Any help much appreciated we need a few beers tomorrow night before a trip to Afan (on sunday) and we fancy Cardiff but no idea where to stay to make life easy and cheap... will have bikes on back of the car so will probably need to store them inside somewhere... Any ideas?
Not sure about anywhere bike friendly as such, but I've phoned ahead to a fair few hotels and they've let me bring my bike in for the night (although have been on Charity Rides!)
Could try Nos Da, never stayed mind, its a hostel but close to the city center and always seems busy.

Have you tried Swansea? Much closer to Afan and still offer a decent night out on the beers.
There's a whole string of B&Bs on the Newport Rd. Not very posh so they should be cheap, it's a short walk into town. Ring around and I'm sure you'll find a friendly one. The big sleep used to be OK and is right in town. Not been there for ages, though, and no idea about bike friendliness, the car park is tiny, though.
