Need new jockey wheels for my XT shadow 9 speed rear mech. Looked all over the internet and their only seem to be expensive XTR ones available. Anyone know where I can buy some cheaper Shimano ones that will fit?
Deore jockey wheels will work fine, though I see CRC don't seemingly list them anymore, the Alvio/STX are probably their replacements (?) but otherwise try these BBB RollerBoys ones, I have them on my Sram X9 and they've been fine so far.
+1 for Zippy and the BBB ones from Dotbike.
Excellent value for money with the rolling resistance of XTR.
Just get the steel bearing 11T model and make sure you pack them with grease as you fit them (remove cartridge bearing rubber seal and fill it up).
Last for years.

I got some basic Shimano ones recently from George Halls Cycle Centre - delivery was not super-quick, but they were the only place I found that was selling the cheapest jockeys as singles (I needed 2 lower ones) at a reasonable price.
BBBs are cheaper mind.
Running BBB from Dotbike on my XTR960 mech and they have been perfect. Been on there for a couple of years now.
Cheap and good.
Great service from Dotbike as well.
Thanks. Dotbike are out of stock of BBBs!
I fitted bog standard tacx jockey wheels from lbs to an XT mech. They worked fine - didn't slow me down one bit ๐
