Hi,

Having, through being injured, missed my planned MTB event which was a charity ride in Burnley that I found on Facebook randomly, I am looking to find another one to try.

My wife is a keen runner and there seems to be a plethora of places she can find 10ks, trail runs, half marathons and the like to do, not to mention parkrun every week 😂ย

I was just wondering if there was a site or two I should look through as most of the ones I find are for roadies.ย

Thanks

ย

Some get listed on the BC site while others (e.g gorrick) list on Facebook/their own sites.

SSUK is in September if you fancy a challenge.

Sientries usually has various events over the UK,ย  I use it for getting my macavalanche tickets.

These might be a bit far south, but I use Trail Break Mountain Bike Events for off-road sportive type events. They've been around for a while and are well organised. Plus, if you're on the same event as me, you're guaranteed not to be last. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for those, @brakestoomuch those are a bit far south but who knows I might get so into it I'll see you at one one day, and we can battle it out for the wooden spoon!

@northernsoul very useful site that thank you.ย  Think I might try the gravel ride in gisburn, even if I do only have a FS MTB 😂ย

Singlespeed UK Champs 2025 - might be far south but it'll be worth it!!ย

Beast yourself, challenge yourself or just have a chilled ride and be social.

@nixie you'd better be entered!!

@moff still working on a way to swing it. It's round 1 of the Wessex CX league the following day in Clanfield. I'll be at that racing as daughter will be doing it so not sure I can get away with 2 days in a row.

@nixie Clanfield's just next door - simple, bring your daughter, ride, camp pop to the Wessex CX in the morning.
