mulling over buying one but having never ridden one I'm a bit wary.

I am having similar thoughts at the moment - I asked in the LBS (Ralph Coleman - Taunton) and they said they might be able to get a Kona demo in to try for a £ but I'd rather ride a steel one if poss...

I'd be interested what you find!

Tootall ..a very kind offer ...If I'm up that way I'll get in touch..(i'm 6ft 2 with very long legs!) I'll bring my 5 spot and you can try that if you'd like

oxy - I have the bike set up for me at 6'7" with a long seat post and riser bars, but it could be made to fit someone shorter - but 6' would probably be a minimum for that bike. Thanks for the 5 Spot offer - I have a different full sus in mind for my future.
