I'm a poor sole who doesn't own a garage to work on the bike, I have a small outbuilding but you can't do much in there, it barely fits the bike.
I did recently build some nice decking in the back garden and there is a bit of wall next to it where I'm thinking I could mount some kind of clamp on the wall to make it easier to work on the bike outside? I'd prefer this to a cheap bike stand as I don't have much storage space unless they fold up really small?

the question I'm asking is does anyone know of anywhere that sells a cheap clamp mechanism (for seatpost) which I can attach to a stone wall which will allow me to work on the bike outside.

cheers

does it need to clamp?

Why not just a set of ladder holders?

or bike rack

thanks. I was thinking it would move around etc as I worked on it if it wasn't clamped properly?

Ideally I'd like a very basic version of something like this:

but obviously no where near that price! Ideally with a hinge so I can leave it flat to the wall when not in use.

I also have one of the above clamps and can vouch for how good they are. Used mine with a myriad of bikes with no problems. The extra plate(mine is indoors) is a godsend when it's pissing it down outside too.
