I've never owned a pair of road cycling shoes before. These seem to be a really great price. So, what's wrong with them?

shimano road shoes are quite narrow.
Nothing .. I've had few pairs of shimano mtb and road shoes over many years and still have 2 current pairs road and mtb pair .. Good shoes that fit me well(narrow'ish) feet though .. And last 🙂
I've got the R088's which are also going for a good price. I like the ratchet to get them nice and tight which I prefer. I'd echo that they are on the narrow side.
For that price I don't think you can go wrong with those.
I also have gert narrow feet. Perfect!! 🙂
Basic road shoes, nothing fancy that's why they're cheap. But they'll more than do the job, I've got the ro88 as well but I wish I'd gone for the one down with the Velcro straps, the ratchet doesn't add much for me.
I had ro88's and thought they were great. Had to go up a size cos of the narrowness though.
