Just had my bike resprayed, love the colour but I have this white cloud like patch just in between top of the down tube where it meets the front .

I did notice that thia area was slightly gunky which I was surprised by after just having it resprayed
.
White Spot

Anything I can do to help improve It? Not the end of the world but it's a bit bothersim considering I paid a decent chock for it.

Sorry about photo, very hard to get a shot.

insufficient color coat coverage I suspect. you're seeing the primer through the purple.
edit, gunky like sticky.. could perhaps be where the acetone/solvent used to clean the spray tip wasn't all out before the clear coat and the solvent has contaminated the paint where the painter started the final coat.
The flash makes it hard to tell

Yep, what that white bit is, is the painters problem.

I’d take that back if you’ve paid good money for it. Should not be like that. Lovely purple colour though.

How long after the spraying was done did you get the frame back?

But as above, send it back to do it properly.

Could it be that bit is just taking longer to dry?

Use a heat gun or hair dryer carefully and see if it changes. If not, ask the paint sprayer or put a sticker over it.

I wouldn't. It's not been done right. If you do anything to it they're likely to blame you.

I paid a bloke in a bodyshop to spray my old Santa Cruz years back.
I assume he saw it as a tea break cash job as it was terrible.
Had areas like that where he'd clearly not paid attention.
It also chipped if you rode it in a light breeze.
Take it back..

Exactly. Any advice that's not take it back is daft. If you pay for something you don't then fix all the bits they didn't do right, that's crazy.

My dad used to spray cars he had done up/fixed - that definitely looks like undercoat to me. I would be wondering how thick a coat of paint it's got on it, could chip easy if that's the standard. Also depends how much you paid for it and if you can live with it. Can't really tell how big a patch it is from the photo. I would take it back personally. Its too good a colour to be ruined from the start-off

The cable guides haven't got a decent coat either, I see the undercoat in several places. Bad coverage, but the patch kinda looks like the clearcoat has gone a bit milky. Looks more amateur than professional, take it back.
Gunky suggests oversprayed but that isn't the case here.
