I don't want a pack as I already have a couple that I swap my Camelback bladder between. Looking for something for me and Mrs M that we can use on long car journeys, so will just sit in the door pocket. Needs to be reasonable quality and have a bite valve that does not need to be backed up by a little tap thing

Decathlon do cheap bladders. They have a clicky thing - you pull the valve, rather than a tap.

I'll have a look at Decathlon. Any others, or any recommendations for a cheap source for Camelback/Dakine etc?

I bought a complete new Camelback Ambush (camo) with 3L bladder & insulated tube for £27 at Marcruss in Bristol.
