I have a pretty damn nice MTB at the moment, my dream bike in fact, and I'm not changing it anytime soon. But, that doesn't stop me from looking at other bikes... 😉

There's just so many incredible MTBs coming out right now, so - what's on your "Ooooh, I'd really like one of them! *drool* *wonders how to get the money for the 4th bike you've seen this week...*" list?

Pics, of course.

Here's mine.

Actofive P Train. The name is brilliant, and that CNC high pivot idler wheel rear end. Fnarrrr.
I would stick a red 140mm lyrik and superdeluxe coil on that and ride it until I was finished.

Deviate Highlander.
[img] [/img]

Kingdom Vendetta, Ti hardtail. (This one's actually on my possible buy list - in singlespeed, mullet mode, but also on my WANT list).

Radon Render 10.0 HD. E-power, electric shifting, 220mm magura goodness.
[img] [/img]

And a bit of gravel - Kingdom Beam Ti gravel frame.

I actually don't have one!!!

I bought a Park Tools track pump today, a dropper post the other day.
Also bought a new crankset for the Parkwood in turbo mode, 42t to help getting the power down indoors.

I'm debating a KTM based leather jacket, but not sure I need it.

Bikes, nope, got 3 in the last few months, so none needed.

Haha. I can emphasise - I work in IT support and I've had those weeks where you're doing a millionty things all at once and it's still not enough, and then something else breaks...

The site looks awesome though, and all those links above worked, first time! 😀

That’s not my field. I’ve a knackered, neck, shoulder and back due to my work. It’s been playing up since Monday night and I’ve ran out of Paracetamol. There’s none in any shops around here so it’s going go be a long week at work.

A new MacBook or Mac mini/iMac as my 2008 MacBook now struggles to play 720 vids amongst other niggles, dunno whether to get one now, wait a month till the next apple release and see if prices come down on the refurbished store or perhaps it’s not worth it as if I get Coronavirus I’ll most likely be one of the statistics due to my spms and immune/lung issues 😉😷🤧🤒

To live somewhere with propper hills!

Not a fan of superbikes, kinda want a calibre sentry pro. Looking forward to seeing what Mike does at Planet X.

null

On the road I want a SystemSix. In the flesh they look fast just stacked up in the shop, I just think its a really cool looking bike.

null

I kinda want/need a track bike as I want to give racing a go.

null

Having convinced myself I wasnt going to get a new bike I was going to get some Garmin vectors on C2W but too much uncertainty and really dont want to be lumped with redundancy and a ~£500 bill simultaneously at any point later in the year!

After a demo the other day I want an ebike! I’m after an enduro ebike preferably. I want it to have a shimano motor, alloy frame, a fork better than a yari and a larger battery than 500! And come in less than £4K. Lucky for my bank balance the sweet spot bike doesn’t yet exist to tempt me.

Things I did realised were, the drive train doesn’t matter to much on an ebike, I was riding nx eagle and my mate was on the new xt and swapping about I didn’t notice much benefit. The other thing I realised was that an alloy frame with better bits would be the way to go, I reckon.

Other than that I’d quite like to find a nice aero road frame 2nd hand to build up a nice summer roadie bike, something like a TCR would be nice.

Loving the looks of gravel bikes with flared drops but I have both a winter road bike and a hard tail so there’s really no need at all! I can justify all the four I have but really don’t think I could fit that in and still make it seem ok!

An un-buggered left hand so I can ride off-road properly.

New forks and pedals to finish off my new full sus build.

No rain, little wind.

Then it gets a bit airy fairy. Santa Cruz Stigmata to see if I can make drop bars work for me in a gravel environment (current groveller is a hybridized 26" MTB). AXS upgrade for my summer roadie, and maybe some fast carbon wheels for it...

A tame bike mechanic to come and do all the jobs I CBA with, and to tidy my garage up.

And a brand new LWB Transit custom crewcab would actually be the first thing I'd buy if I won the lottery.

If I was to take my brain out and make a snap decision on a dream bike it would be this:

But if I were feeling braver, I'd probably stick to aluminium and try something like this:

It would have to have straight tubes whatever though 🙂

Still think my Orange looks better though.

Perfect health and unwavering fitness would be good. I’ll settle for an xtr groupset, some new trail wheels (expensive ones) and a coil shock, given my lack of cash, I think health and fitness are the more likely.

edit RSD Titanium Mayor. It has long chain stays. If ever a bike needed the traction you get from long stays, it’s a fat bike.

Surely long chainstays mean you can ride up stuff without wheeling, but short chainstays would put more weight on it and therefore more grip?

Want some titanium bars for the Megatower to match the cranks and possibly go AXS on the Tallboy to bring some consistency in my drive-trains on both bikes.
If the world doesn't tank too much over the next month or so then it should be achievable...its not like I will need the money for the summer Whistler trip at this rate.

Badly want some Red Lyriks for my Aether 7. It’s a raw frame and currently has black 140mm Lyriks but the red ones would really set it off. Massive premium I’d be paying to do that just to change colour and have a slightly newer damper. Plus my front wheel isn’t boost so would need to get adapters etc.

The other want is Ultegra Di2 - I really hate my mechanical 105 hydraulic groupset - always found the shifting a bit vague. I prefer SRAM doubletap but it’s just as cost effective to swap to di2 so I’ve started buying all the bits up I need - but a way off yet.

Would also like Carbon Sram XX1 cranks for both mtb’s but that’s literally never going to happen.

A working rear brake for my Fuel EX, bought new Deore brakes for it back in January only for the rear to fail a week before my week's holiday! Sent to off and it's now stuck in Europe somewhere waiting to be looked at, strange as it was bought from a UK shop.

A new towbar bike rack. Mine is knackered and not really wide enough for my Rocket's wheelbase, it's also getting rusty.

For my riding buddies to com out and ride!! Was meant to all be at Cwmcarn on the uplift tomorrow but it's just me left after they all cancelled due to being ill. Completely understandable in the current climate and Darrell asking people to stay away if they are ill but it will be odd being there on my lonesome. Haven't ridden the track since 2006/7 so hopefully I'll survive!

To get back into the trsining routine, was going really well until the storms knocked me out of the habit and struggled to get back into the rhythm.

A Cotic Solaris Max, should have got one a while back but they were out of stock of Mediums then my parents got flooded out so all funds went on sorting the out. Work has cut back hours too so it may be a while longer for that one.

that is a good point and being a bit thick not one I can answer with any authority, but that won’t stop me from spouting potential crap.

I just deleted the crap I wrote as I was confusing myself. I have a trail bike with long wheelbase and long stays. It does climb a treat, but I’ve not ridden it in the mud or other low traction situations so I retract my comment

thisisnotaspoon, you have saved my soul from the damage caused by materialistic desires.

edit: everyone else, you’re not helping my zen with all the lovely bikes is never thought of wanting.

Apart from to not be working away from home & actually having a life with the woman I married...
A new Ripmo V2 to replace my HD3 & a Matte Jet Chris King headset for the Tempest, to replace the last piece of Selcof stuff, bar the fork.

And if were going really nuts, the Alfa Giulia GTA...

Have a look in the classifieds...
My want list is all about a Trek Madone sl7 right now, although still have to have a demo on one before dropping any money.
