I'd get the tubes with slime in them. Lots of thorns about. (or go tubeless)

Going tubeless would be the best thing you could do.
I should imagine Doug has a pretty good support set up in place and anything he hasn't already got can be readily sourced from Spanish LBS. So I would limit what I would take to bike specific items, standard riding kit and go tubeless as stated above.

wwaswas - you're right. It's not that I can't change one, but it's painful for people who can do it so much better to watch. They get so annoyed they step in and do it for me, better. Who am I to argue?

Anything that you have on your bike that is specific or weird. I have cables, several types of brake pads etc and can get most things. Working bike is a great idea that lots of people don't quite manage to execute! Camera. Jelly babies 🙂 tubes or tubeless is a good idea and without it we find on average two flats a week so it's not dreadful. And clothes that take into account that we will be going up mountains. We have a great bike shop but it is more expensive than the Internet. Basques are optional! Oh yeah I think that something in your water to help hydration works well for multi days in the sun.

Last year in the Pyrenees i ran tubeless Rubber Queens - ****ing brilliant - came away with bits of slate, wood, nails and umpteen thorns in the rear alone - not one problem, held air the whole time and still is so yeah tubeless is always good.
