Budget of £500-600.

He lives on the doorstep of 417 Project so will be used there as well as family rides along canal, local woods etc.

Looking to compile a list of potentials for his parents to search eBay for, probably 16" frame, 26" (27.5" would be a bonus).

Needs to be pedalable, so not a DH bike or hefty lump.

If anyone's got anything to sell message me direct.

Boardman Team FS - these seem to come up within budget, 27.5 and 140/130mm ish of travel if I'm not mistaken.
I'm selling my cannondale trigger soon but need to hold onto it for now as using it for Ard Moors.

Second the Boardman but if you look hard enough / have some patience you’ll probably get the Pro FS for that money. Either the silver / green one with Revs / X9 on or the blue newer one with Pikes / Gx 11 speed on. I sold my silver / green one for about £600 2.5 years or so ago - extended the forks to 150mm / went 1x10 etc - a lot of 650b bike for the money.

I'd be happy to let this go for £600, includes a bit of growing room as its a medium:

Orange Alpine 160

Our 14 year old has Norco Fluid - full Deore, Sektor's and Monarch.
It's quite scraped paint wise, but had new bearings throughout and has been rock solid.
It was £650 on local Facebook bike group from friend of friend.

Just had a quick look round and there are a few Boardman Pro Fs’ on eBay and Facebook Classifieds. Most are the better 2018 one with Pikes but there is also one silver one with Revs starting at £250 on eBay (although may have an unrealistic reserve looking at the buy it now price).
