Swapping tyres today I realised my QR skewers were looking a bit knackered and neglected, so is there anything better than Shimano at the cheaper end of the market? I only need them to hold my wheel on securely, not fussed with fancy colour co-ordination or stupid low weight.

There's no better (5mm) QR than shimano, at either the cheap or expensive end of the market

Agreed, no reason to spend more. If you do want lightweight Mt Zoom ones are excellent, less scary than KCNC!

Salsa Flip Offs? Classic, aren't scary small, available in ti or steel axle and come in lots of nice colours.
