One I would steer clear of is the lezyne CRV 19. Very well made but the wide body and short tools means it's really impractical to use on a bike.

I have an old topeak alien - it has been great and would recommend one

Why would you need to spend £40?

Toppeak Mini 20+ can be had for £20 at crc.

Wonderfully build, lovely little bit of kit.

You mean a leatherman type thing don't you?

If so, Gerber are great around that price

Cheers all, sounds like topeak is the way forward! Might grab one of those and some other shiny bits to go with it!

Had a Topeak Hummer for donkeys years. Built countless bikes with it. Lost the torx bit, called Topeak & they sent me one for free.
Lezyne stuff is beuatifully made though.

The gold one looks more pimp, if that's any concern!

This is one of those few occasions in life when I can hand on heart actually recommend a crank bros product. Looks good, doesn't break, even feels nice and solid in the hand.

i had a topeak alien and thought it was a good bit of kit until i lost it. I've had a crank bros 19(?) for ages, maybe 7 yrs, and still as good as new. Never had any other CB stuff.

Topeak Alien not got a bad word to say about it! Oh maybe the tyre levers are not the best for really tight tyres.

Topeak Ratchetrocket or Hexus- they're well enough made to do the job, and they're the best designed multitools out there. Chain tool is better than most workshop ones, allen keys can get just about anywhere they need to, and they're both compact and easy to use. The tyre levers on the Hexus are gash mind, so I just forget they're there.

OTOH Lezyne are beautifully made, but not that well thought out. Wish they'd team up with Topeak, it'd be the end of the multitool market.
