you can have 1 to a catergory. my favourites are 1.hardtail my 2002 cannondale f800 in matt black. was the first bike that i owned with hydraulic disc brakes and front suspension.absolutely loved that bike,it just rode great.was fast and surprisingly comfortable offroad.without a shadow the best ht i have ever owned.god i regret selling it 🙁 2.full sus the bike i have now 2010 giant anthem x2.is fantastic to ride.have never needed the propedal once (including road bits) but the suspension is totally active.the bike has let me get away with mistakes (when it could have thrown me off).although i am very slow rider the bike has never punished me for it (hyper quick steering e.t.c) but i know that when i do get fitter/faster the bike will lust fly!basically i feel totally comfortable riding it in unfamiliar off road terrain. 😀 over to you!

my solitude has been just amazing. 4 different drive chain types ('hoff, SS, 2x9, 1x10), 3 forks (rev, z1, minute) and 2 paint jobs (dark blue and now anthracite).

its been to the alps 5 times, been ridden all over the uk and is currently in a DHL warehouse in lyon on its way to me now... i cannot explain how excited i am - have just scouted out some beautiful looking trails which drop into my village. am beside myself!

aaaaaaanyway...

my kona kula 29 is my favourite 29er (although my soma juice came close)

my pinnacle CX (as its the only one i've got/had)

Oooh, I know this one 😛 - that'll be the lovely orange Tazer VP I bought ex-display back in 2008 and sold a year later for more skill compensation. Bought it back at the end of last month and I'm in love all over again . . . still just as noisy as I remember and lacking in travel but I love it even more second time around 😀 (moto-foam and coil shock on the wishlist though 8) ).

No pics (must organise a replacement for my fotopic account) but I'm sure it's been on here a million times before. Long live the flyin' V!

Just dreaming of kitting it all out with xtr and having some nice strong, light wheels on it 😀

Couldn't resist posting another pic.

Klein Fervour, had one 10 years ago, got this one end of last year and its now my only bike. Absolutely love it and have done more miles on this so far in 2011 than I did in total in 2010. Light, pretty (IMHO) and bleedin' fast!

Scott Ransom. Was a huge skill compensator, but sadly it was the first bike to go when I lost my job, and I held on to my HTs as they would cost less in upkeep. Rear suspension smoothed out everything, but I couldn't afford decent forks to match it so it was never quite as good as it could have been.

When I win the lottery I will get another...with decent forks!

Favourite mtb is/was this, a RM Element that I picked up for £60 (frame only) on the classifieds and which was a size too small for me. Despite that I loved it - It was confident, fast and great in twisty stuff. I was gutted when the dropout snapped though I plan to get it repaired at some point.

My current one...regardless of what it is, it's always my current one as, if it wasn't my favourite, I'd sell it 😀

My current Helius CC - it just gets on with business with no fuss - local XC trails and bridleways, trail centres, York. Dales/Moors. It's no slouch either - not as quick on fire roads etc as my Anthem X but more fun.

Can't wait to head over to the Lakes with it at Easter.

My current bike is my favourite I have had 3 05/06 Enduro frames and this is my favourite. I have even got the DHX Air working well.

probably my first mtb, a Raleigh Apex, 400LX, Girvin Flex-stem. In my eyes that was perfect (until i got a paper round and kitted it out with full '93 XT)

😆

Overall though, it's my P20. I bought it in 1998 and it's still fantastic.

I liked my old Scott genius but only after i *slightly over-forked it with pikes.

Otherwise, SC bullit with dhx5 is a huge skill compensator and trail iron-out-er. Huge fun.

Hardtail - My Orange P7, it is the bike I have wanted since I was 13 and it has not desappointed, wonderful bike.

FS - I have only ridden 1, a Cannondale Super V of 2003 vintage, it was OK but I did fall off and brand myself with it's disk brake.

Not very trendy but probably my '08 Saracen Zen 3. Its taken a absolute beating and is still going strong. I seem to enjoy it even more now it's old and battered and I don't have to worry about scratching it!

I'm really enjoying my new Scandal 29er though, the Zen could be pushed in to 2nd place, time will tell.

Full suss - my current main squeeze is the best ever by a country mile… 2010 Nicolai Helius AM… a brilliant all-rounder for how and where I ride

Hardtail - rose tinted specs time… I loved my Trek 9900 OCLV pro issue carbon in 1994. I'd probably hate it now though. My current Whyte 19 trail steel is not perfect, but it's one hell of a bike and in reality is probably level best with the Balfa Minuteman it replaced. One day I will rebuild the Balfa and do a head to head. For cross****ree the whyte will have it (which was why I changed), but on the doonhall I suspect the Balfa will kick the Whyte's face in.

Similar to this one:

My second MTB & favourite so far.

Stolen many years ago and replaced by an Orange Clockwork that was bloody awful.

This one I think...
[img] [/img]

It does have some stiff competition from my other bikes though, really happy with the line-up I've got at the moment.
