Kinda like the old Panaracer Trailraker tyre on my 26" hardtail for sloppy winter duties. They're getting harder to find now, presumably they're not made anymore ?
What would be the Shwalbe equivalent in 26 guise, if there is such a thing ?
Any other suggestions for a non-tubeless mucky winter XC tyre ?
TIA

I have a couple of trailrakers I'm happy to sell if you're interested? One is a 1.9, the other a 2.1. Little use.

Email in profile if you want to discuss.

Closest would be the Black Shark Mud, the 1.5" was an incredible tyre when conditions dictated. Never tried the 2.1" though. The Dirty Dan is more of an all around winter tyre, more akin to the Mud X, Spesh Storm type of tyre.

^^ what that njee20 said.

And go for the narrower 1.5" as this cuts right down into the gloop. Always a danger that wider tyres will "float" on top of mud IMHO

Geax gato mud in 1.5" is a really good mud tyre. Mounts up tubeless really easily too. Hard to get hold of but Singletrack bikes had some last year.

Saying that, I have a pair of barely used 1.5 Black Sharks in the garage in 26 flavour. I'm m never gonna use them again, so offers?
