Hello All!

Looking at buying an up uppy downy seatpost. I have had a Crank Bros Joplin 3" which has served me well, but hasnt enough travel (plus I can pass it off to my gf for a present!)

So looking at a new one!

From my understanding they all break, need maintenance etc... but which is the most robust?

What is the post of choice? Within £ reason!

Also what are the cheap german bike shop names?
On one I found a KS seat post for £140 with postage compared to the superstar one at £199...

Cheers

They dont all break or need maint.

Buy one that works and does the job - that may mean spending money to save time without it or wasted money.

I would buy a Reverb - google for a cheap price. You dont need one with a blead kit.

I did the same in the last few weeks. Saw the potential of my old Joplin 3 but wanted something with more drop, remote and more reliability.

Read lots of reviews and ended up with a Reverb. Seems like its almost the default choice. Pinkbike have just reviewed the Fox DOSS and said until the niggles with that are sorted, the Reverb remains the best dropper post out there. Only had one ride on mine so far but its great.

Just don't get a CB Kronolog!

KS i950 - two years old, no maintainance, still works like new.

I'd buy KS again in an instant

i think it's probably fair to assume that anything with moving parts is going to need looking after in some form or another.

Tom, before you get too carried away with Reverb recommendations it may be worth having a chat with Luke ( think we discussed this last night? )

KS Lev hasn't been out long but a very solid-seeming piece of kit, and the cable is static.

Very pleased with mine (so far).
