A product that has a USP, an easy to use website, some kind of storage, cash (plenty of this) and being able to spell distributor.

That's about it.
Money.
But does sound like a good excuse for a jolly to some foreigne bike shows looking for products
A desire to rip off every punter in the land. Apparently.

A strategy
A range of products
Good sales technique
Marketing knowledge
Premises
Cash (plenty)
Advice on the business structure and set up
A lawyer to review the distribution agreement
An appetite for risk
Website, other digital media
That will do for a start but plenty more in sure.
And an almost fanatical devotion to the pope.
You may also require a comfy chair some soft cushions and a cardinal named Biggles.
Everything garage-dweller says plus:
- a much bigger advertising budget than you'd think
- contingency funds for refunds/returns
- time, lots of time, to deal with questions from consumers
- a hawk like eye on forums, social media etc to watch out for the pesky silent minority moaning
- lots of contacts
- strong sales skills to get stretched retailers to commit to stock
- strong money chasing skills to get the above retailers to pay the bill for the above
