[Closed] What have I done!! (niche content)

I was stripping my bike down yesterday (save this one for a different thread..gripe!) and the boy asked me if I would single speed his bike (an islabike) for him....20mins later and a few cogs less and he's off out the gate with his new one one gear wonder. He returns an hour later (the startings of a beard showing!!) raving about the merits of not having jumping noisy gears he never uses.....have I condemned him to a life of beards and tucking one trouser leg into his socks?? I suspect I should have done this 2 years ago personally.
