Hi folks,
Looking for some advice for my father. He's after the ability to browse for maps online, download sections and print them out to take them on the hill (he's a mad keen mountaineer). Makes sense, he can laminate small maps rather than battling with old OS maps in gale force winds!
Has anyone used any of these services? Any recommendations?
He has found these guys:
But it looks a bit pricey...
Any advice appreciated!
Cheers
multimap(bingmaps) and photoshop are all you need for your OS requirements ๐
Nice! Not been on there for a while - didn;t realise they had Ordnance Survey ones up there now too. Cheers for that!
aye you just need to snapshot the screen and then past it together in your editing program...
pc - print screen then paste into whatever program (or search for a free snapshot utily on google.)
mac - apple shift 4 and you can highlight the area and it'll save it to your desktop.
Or for global stuff try Mobac

Mobile Atlas Creator isn't just global, it will pull Ordanance Survey map content at 1:50000 and 1:25000. It's a bit clunky but great!
that mobile atlas creater is fantastic, cheers ๐
This needs another bump, pretty much os mapped the whole of scotland in about 2 hours last night. Can't believe i used to put spent the time putting the maps together! ๐
