Looks nice. I like the Boardman range
Good they all look well specced for the price.
looks faily decent. C2W scheme?
looks alright to me, speedy and good spec. perhaps a bit pricey, but i've never looked at hybrids so don't know how the competition compares
Do you that particular model given the spec justifys the price
Very, very good spec for the cash. But TBH, the frame's probably nt going to set your heart alight. And Elixirs are a DH race capable brake. On a light hybrid, 700c wheels, especially when it's wet, I'd say they're waaaaay overkill. I'd consider a model with Avid BB5/BB7 brakes, if there is one.
The spec is great but as above generally overkill for a commuter style bike. What about the comp? That said if you've got the spare cash then why not
💡 stretch to £999.99 for the Limited Edition ❓
If you're going to stick to the proper road, it looks great. If you're looking to use other trails: bridleways, sustrans, National Cycle Network etc, have a look at whether you will have clearance for mudguards and still have room for 28-32 non slick tyres. Some of the NCN route near me turns to a thick clag paste when wet and my road bike with guards doesn't have clearance to cope. It is quite blingy for a hybrid for commuting, do you have somewhere very safe to lock it?
Hydraulic disc brakes, flat bars and barends on a roadbike makes no sense to me. just get a roadbike!

I've had a couple of drop-bar roadbikes but despite that have gone with a disc braked, flat barred road bike with bar-ends because I prefer that for commuting.
not my cup of tea dont like ridge frames there for race bikes (road) LOL
I think its a great bike for the money, All quality parts.
Can't see any problems with the brakes, and flat bars are generally a better choice for commuting esp in towns. Cranks are very good had them on my last bike.
Go give one a test ride.
Well i got it not brand new but nearly (25 miles) love it,tthe only thing i can see is that the front wheel dosnt turn as free as it should when i look it seams as though its rubbing on one of the brake pads,is this easy to resolve
I've had a Boardman Comp hybrid since Feb.
I find it a really nice bike to ride, it's fairly fast despite its weight ( i can tootle along at 22mph quite happily) and with quick handling despite the slightly wide bars. I replaced the BB5 cable brakes with some old Hope mini's i had in the shed so the brakes are a little lighter now.
The clearance will easily take a 32mm cross tyre but you'll struggle to fit full length mudguards on as well - maybe race blade type guards will fit?
The gearing is a 50/36 compact up front with an SRAM mtb cassette on the back so you may find it's a little undergeared or it might be just right for your commute.
I love mine, paid £500 for it and the 'smiles per mile' value is pretty damned high!
50/38 not 36 😳
Boardman's have always been good value for money.
