So,
I've got a bike being built at the moment but its not stopped me looking around at other things that I [s]need[/s] want.
Currently, I want one of these
and maybe one of these
I already have both a timetrial bike and a trials bike..but I WANT these....
What you lusting after?
Sad to say, i'm not...
.
.
.
.
.
But I should have taken heed of the advice on one of the guitar threads, N=n+1, etc, etc...
Singular Gryphon
Spearfish and a Fatbike of some sort
Truthfully not found anything that I like to ride better than the one I already have 'Kona Hei Hei Supreme'.
Only other bike I've ridden that came close was a Cannondale rize.
Brodie Holeshot. No logical reason why.
Bottle rocket, TR250, commie mini DH, Mega and loads of other AM/miniDH bikes
Total different ends of the spectrum but I'd love a TR250 and a Niner Air carbon, mmmmm
A small commencal meta 5 or better meta 5 carbon for cheap for the SO ;-).
Or someone to buy her specialized myka FSR
Yeti SB-66 Carbon
Nope, I'm struggling at the moment, just not that fussed. Certainly no MTBs. I'd not say no to a Dogma with Di2, but not go as far as lusting!
Dynamo hub and Tout Terrain Plug USB charging gizmo......
Makes a radical change from the norm!
Yeti SB-66 Carbon
brother-in-law is expecting his at the end of the month, Stif have just rang. lets just say he's more than a bit excited......
My lust list is growing divergently.
Can neither decide which to get, nor justify getting it, based on what I typically ride.
Really ought to offload 2 ye olde worlde bikes. Then I'll have store room space that'll need filling 🙂
Liteville 301 is one of the top entries on the lust list though.
Like the thought of a Cotic Rocket but too much £££ for me 🙄
an Intense Tracer 29 or a Transition Bandit 29. In puke green for both.
Ibis Tranny SS in green. Absolutely don't need it, just like the look of the thing.
Custom 29er.
But can't decide between a DIY Dave Yates style course with steel, or the cheeper option of getting someone else to build it in Ti over in Russia/China.
That Moots is lovely though!
Niner Jet 9 RDO, end of chat, please close thread immediately 🙂
Another Transition Bandit luster here, currently saving my pennies for one!
one that isn't in storage!
I have 4 bikes in storage, the only one that I have access to is my road bike which is suffering due to neglect and the winter.
.
actually on the look-out for a 2010 Stumpjumper frame in medium...
TR250 for me, just look so right that I want one in my garage!
I really want a blue BFe. I have virtually everything needed for the build I just need to raise enough money for the frame and a back wheel. Hopefully I will have it by the end of next month.
A modern take on an old steel road classic, like the Condor Paris Galibier or a Bob Jackson Vulcan.
Just got a s/h road Ti. And my race bike is being rebuilt with new SRAM and wheels. The crosser could do with a spruce up. Otherwise not lusting after anything.
Yeti SB-66 Carbon
+1
@neil853 Yeti aren't getting them till 1st of April!
http://forums.mtbr.com/8644994-post4.html
don't know about that, Stif just said to him the frame would here at the end of the month....
another Yeti wanted here, content with the alloy version
that moots is the one of the lovliest bikes I have seen. ever.
Finally very happy with my suspension choice of bike after years of owning loads of different ones. Wouldn't mind a Brodie Holeshot or an Ibis Tranny or something like that as my hardtail to replace the current Chameleon, but it so rarely gets used I could never justify it.
That Brodie does look nice though...
Thinking of getting Mercian to build me a 29er based on a Cielo geometry. May come to my senses....
Yeti SB66, should be here next week.
That Moots is an absolute work of art! It may actually be too nice. You'd feel guilty about coating it in filth
Aye that Brodie does look nice.
Currently I could do with a short travel FS.
If cost wasn't an issue then I'd like a Nicolai AC29er with custom geo (to slacken off the HA), full ano, extra love and a Vip'r.
But I suspect I'll be waiting to see what the shorter travel droplink Cotics turn out (esp as it would give me time to find some cash...).
Waiting (4 weeks!) in anticipation for my Solaris though 🙂
Thats Moots is nice.......
Also a Yeti ASRC & Pivot Mach 5.7 in carbon.
Mmmmmmmm, carbonium goodness....
Nothign really, but I do know that my LBS has a Niner Air Carbon in the stock room.
Must not be tempted by carbon lovliness & lightness 😆
Saying that I am wondering if changing my Heluis CC for a Helius AC would be an idea, but then again probably not.
An Intense Carbine SL is currently top of my virtual shopping list. I will never have one but it is nice to dream.
What bike are you currently lusting after?
Yours.
And it will be mine tonight.
*Mwuhahahahaha!*
Not everyone's taste but I love them.
Are they actually to anyone's taste, other than yours (and a few colour-challenged continentals)? 😕
there is just something about those ST4's that makes me think the linkages will break.
Orange 29er Five for me I hope
One of the Niner SIR.9's that Charlie has reduced at the moment.
And in an ideal world Sam would also do a nice 853 version of the Swift. 😉

In the 29er flavour.
THAT Kingdom Brigante
Intense Hard Eddie (having seen it built up at 18ibs at bike show)
Soul Cycles Dillinger
Transition Bandit 29er
In 26er taste.
Last Herb AM
Intense Slopestyle
i'm after a brodie ti holeshot. Yumyum
And in an ideal world Sam would also do a nice 853 version of the Swift.
Already done it - you can ride one if you like - I guarantee you will not tell the difference between it and a standard Swift.
Personally, not really lusting after anything, I have the joy of quite a full shed...
Liteville 301 FS
Ibis Tranny HT
No chance either way 🙁
Really wanting a whyte 29cs at the moment love the look of them just want to hit the buy button so bad !
I'm quite happy with the bikes I have, but I do lust slightly for a Monarch Plus and Deville to put on my Dune.
Pretty much anything from the Look Stable.
Dogma 2 is rather nice as well
I'm with thomthumb. Considering moving so a 10-15 mile each way commute will be a bit too much on a '94 Cinder Cone which means I'll need a new bike, result!
Not sure what would be better - CX with mudguards and panniers (might be able to work some off road into the route), Cotic Road Rat, or a second hand steel framed tourer.
Mojo HD or an Enruro S-Works Carbon for me. Maybe even a Nomad Carbon.
And a TR250 too, thanks. And a Blur TRc, if you're offering.
hmmm some very nice bikes shown here.
At the moment i'm lusting after the on-one fat bike that should be released later this year though will have to wait until 2013 at least to get it 🙁
is that the one with the rusty forks?on-one fat bike
In skinny wheel territory I like the look of the Sabbath Silk Road Alp. Amid the wash of road bikes with big logos and bright colours the understated titanium frame with subtle branding really appeals. Perhaps I am just dull?
I'm kinda hooked on the idea of a Ragley 10:4.... are they far off Brant?
I thought the bb height of the brigante would have raised more than 1.5mm when a fork with 20mm extra travel was fitted. Only 1.5mm?
Would really like a Ti Dialled Alpine and Condor have some lovely steel road bikes at the moment. Shame I no room for any more bikes though, and no money!!
I'm lusting after my own bike, with a Spangly Respray, disc tabs on the back and All Sorts of Fancy Dan Parts. I dun a spreadsheet. £1,800. I could get a bike for that.
i'm not lusting after any bike tbh (my riding motivation is non existent atm).guitars though (oh yes 😉
I actually think I might*be cured of the whole bike lusting thing. I'm more than happy with my current bikes.
*For now
as ive just lavished a big heap of new parts on the current bike(2006 Kona Caldera) i'll have to say no not lusting after anything at the mo 😉
I test rode a Whyte 146 a couple of weeks ago whilst out with the LBS. Awesome ride, light as hell but great pointing down. I won't buy one as they are carbon and carbon frames break easier than alloy IME. And I can't afford one. But if someone were to give me one I could learn to live with the carbon 🙂
