got a pair of 36h hope hubs I want to use to build either a plus set of wheels for my Solaris or replace the original 29er wheels so I can use the 32h hubs for something else.
really struggling to find a half decent 36h rim to use that isn’t ridiculously expensive (importing stands from us).
any suggestions?
Planet X have Pacenti DL 31 (26 internal) 29 er rims 36h for £30. 100g more than Arch 's but eyeletted and theres maybe more metal there. Prob want a lighter rim. Dont know if its the special alloy Pacenti use. Zee Germans sometimes have the Stans Arch mk3's in 36h. I was looking recently for a recent £80 cheap alfine 8 hub deal in 36h... There isn't much selection outside of the old school touring rims (Spa cycles) and Mavic's. Velocity do 36h but your looking at imports and postage prob...Then I end up looking at the chinese carbon as they drill those for anything...Would Hope sell you new hub shells?
Cool I’ll check out the pacentis, I’m trying to avoid investing too much in the wheels as it’s more an exercise in re using old 26 parts, I’m sure hope would/ could but they’d need to be very cheap to make it viable and I do t think they would be.
not concerned as to weight as a bit of a lump myself at the moment.
