Decided to stay low to avoid the snow, which turned out to be a mistake. The Forestry Commission had been at work and if there is one thing they know how to do it's mess up a trail! Still the sun came out later and the bike needed a clean anyway.

I’m afraid I’ve only got an immediate post-ride pic. But it was a good ride, and not too messy, as it was at a well-drained trail centre.

this was taken just before we encountered proper slop.
Lad got his feet/shoes stuck in the mud and I was pedaling like I was on a treadmill! Really should change the tyres.

No pics - Cambusbarron alternated between riding on damp ground that felt like Velcro, or riding on damp ground with all the friction of an oiled Tefal pan..... All good until a gust of wind stopped eldest oab in his tracks. Mid way across the big quarry doubles....

At least we got a ride, even if you couldn't stand or ride at Burnt Tree due to the wind and rain.

Went for a bimble along some riverside trails, then a bit of random exploring but ran out of trail, then up a few hills for sunset, going great until the last photo

Love that pic windysurfer.

I did 100km of Lancastrian flatness on my winter road bike. Building my distance back up after a spell of illness and injury. Managed on one bottle and a few gels, but should've took some solid food.
