Hi all
I'm looking for a web host and am getting confused. I've looked at several 'top 10 web host' sites and am none the wiser.
I was going to pay about £6 a month as I didn't want a basic package as I may want more capacity later on.
Any reccomendations?

I use Streamline.net, always found them good value for money. Just looked and they've got some deals on hosting at the mo.
I use Freeola. It's free. The only downside is that to upload you either have to pay a monthly fee or use the phone to upload at £0.01 per minute.
Reliable though.
spursn17 - Buy what you need NOW, not what you need later as you can almost always upgrade. Best thing is to find a company that's been around for a while with some decent size behind them because you can usually be sure they won't get bored, fed up or go out of business overnight.

customer service is second to none. Have replies from emails at 3 in the morning within 5 minutes, and was offered a refund after I had 15 minutes of downtime. I declined! genuinely brilliant company.
I've recently signed up to TSO Host which was based on a recommendation from someone on here. I'm a complete novice to web design/hosting etc and their customer service was excellent. Replied within max 15 minutes day or night (often a lot quicker).
