I'm currently working in Milton Kynes but meant to be riding at Swinley Forest tonight, it is raining here and very windy.... Anyone local to Swinley with a weather update.?Is it the same there.?
Many thanks
We have had quite a bit of rain over the last few days but the trails themselves have held up OK, quite a bit of mud in places but rideable, but if you keep to the "armoured" trails especially, they are fine.
A lot of Swinley is in a natural bowl, and with trees, you don't really get the wind too much.
Rode there last night and it was good.
Am about 10 miles away & some rain during this afternoon. Quite big gusts now though (relatively) c. 40mph according to the met stn at S. Farnborough
Rode there Monday and it was mostly fine, bits of mud on the odd trail but not too much.
I rode there this morning and the trails were in great condition. Patches of mud here and there, but otherwise amazingly dry + fast. It was drizzling during the ride and as I went home but it didn't seem like enough rain to make much of difference to trail conditions.
Thanks guys, I'm pretty local to Swinley but working this week further up the country and was just checking if it was worth the journey back for my normal Thursday night ride. I will give it a miss tonight because of the wind and hit it hard Saturday and Sunday to make up for it ๐
Thanks
I'm also from the area and have been looking forward to the weather changing. Bought a Nomad 18V this week for twenty quid off and looking forward to using it this weekend.
