[Closed] was there once a 10spd Shimano (road?) shifter that worked with a 9spd mech?

a normal trigger style shifter for flat road bars, but worked with a 9spd mech? something to do with the ratio?

that way i could still use my 9spd Rapid Rise without having to swap over the cassette and chain rings....

Yup, google "shimano flat bar shifters", there's a few options from tiagra through to ultegra. None particularly cheap though by MTB standards (even tiagra is £65/pair on CRC).

Anything sold as 10s shimano for road bikes uses 9s shimano MTB mechs.
