New road frame - forks broke - back to shop - spesh sent new forks back but instead of matt they are gloss finish - would you accept these or would you got for money back. I am inclined to say I'll have them given the bargin price I got my frame for otherwise money back and i'll have to find another frame as good as that for the same price?

karma, quiet life & being a nice customer = keep them, and get the brillo pad out if necessary.

Do they still do them in matt? They might have just sent the nearest current replacement to what you had, in which case - fair enough. However, I think you'd be within your rights (morally and legally) to ask for their replacement to match what you paid for originally. They're honoring a warranty on a faulty product, not doing you a favour.

Don't a lot of manufactures have small print about warranties that a replacement might differ?

Kuco - I think your are right - They bike shop has asked me if I want my money back - I have decided after looking at the images to accept the offer - Apart from the gloss they are a very good match and I really want the frame and it was a bargin so although in thoery I should get my money back I kinda happy to keep them ๐Ÿ™‚

aye, you have to accept that sometimes the colour is not available.

As long as the fork is the same (or higher) spec they are honouring their responsibilities. Obviously sending you bright pink ones would be a bit out of order but it is quite plausible that matt might need to be exchanged for gloss due to change in colours and stock etc. You may have to wait a while for matt to be in stock.

Found out where the forks are from. These forks are off the Tarmac Pro version - I think the same fork, same colour scheme but not the s-works - so was in gloss.
