I bought a loop mount to hold my Wahoo over the stem, its a clever idea, particularly if you have a 10mm spacer above your stem. I bought it as my current mounts don't fit either 35mm bars or a stem under 70mm.
Its from a UK retailer but is the same product as this HUP item, which is only advertised as suitable for Garmin (I'm sure a few weeks ago the text also listed Wahoo compatibility, the insert can be rotated to a Wahoo friendly position so it was definitely designed that way)
The UK retailer still lists it as compatible for Wahoo. So to get to the point, the insert is rubbish and my Wahoo computer just spins about on the mount whenever its touched or the trail gets rough. The lugs that hold the computer centrally in the mount are very low profile compared to Wahoo and other Wahoo copies:
I would send it back but the alternative K Edge Wahoo mounts are about £45, I'm guessing they are short of supply as Garmin versions are much more reasonable.
Does anyone know if the K Edge and these alternative mounts us the same bolt spacing and thread? I'm tempted to buy a £5 K Edge replaceable insert and just swallow the fact I spent nearly £20 on a mount that doesn't work! But it would be nice to know its actually going to fit first!
