Wahoo multiple days?

I used a Garmin for years and if  I was touring or back to back day riding Id just pause my ride and switch it off. In the morning I'd switch it back on and re-start.

I did a multiday thing recently with my new Wahoo and thought the same process would be ok.  Not so, it recorded each ride as a separate entity when I wanted one big long ride captured.

Is there a setti g that can address this?

If I turn my Wahoo off mid ride (or it goes flat) when I turn it back on it will display a message and recover the part-ride before you carry on with the same recording.  I don't pause it first (not manually anyway).  I've never tried it over night though...in my book that's a new ride!  You can join them together afterwards using gotoes.org (I used to do that if I wanted to make a Relive animation of a multiday trip)

It was a multi day event! 😀

IIRC, I think the above is correct. If you pause and switch it off it'll save the ride. If you switch off without pausing it'll recover the ride next time you switch it on. And of course the other option is to pause and leave it on. I have had Wahoo crash on big rides. It'll recover it but then just crash again, so I got into a habit of saving and then you can use software to stitch the files together if you really want it in one ride - which is probably safer all round, regardless of what you use.

If you turn it off you have to turn it back on again within a certain time limit. I think it’s 5 hours or something otherwise it’ll save the old recording and start a new one.

Just join them together afterwards if you really want to.
