Bought my 4yr old son a Specialized Hotrock for Christmas. Bit disappointed with the old (80s BMX-style) front brake and would love to upgrade to a V-Brake. There's no bosses on the forks.
Any suggestions for conversions, etc to upgrade?

I have to admit, that DNA plate looks tempting, although the price is sending me down the upgraded pads option.
