quite a few folk ask for info/route descriptions on threads here, so why don't ST have a "share your route" type thing up there under the Trail Guide tab? Upload a map, or jpeg of map & a brief description, the odd photo even. Could be a really useful addition. Thoughts?
there are a lot of sites that already offer that sort of stuff. Sites like bikely and mapmyride. You can search and upload routes. Maybe a link to those sites would be useful.
this is pretty much what bikehike used to be, but they had conflict with publishers of guidebooks because people were uploading the routes published in the books to be stored on the database. so they had to shut down the database side of the operation.
