I was looking at bikes from the usa, has anyone had a bike posted from America and whats the tax ?
Nobody purchased a bike online and had it shipped from Americe then?

Loads of people have and if you had used the search function there are approximately 37.8 billion how much tax on imported goods threads.
For the hard of searching.
on bike components about 4.7% import tax on purchase price PLUS shipping. Then 20% VAT on purchase + shipping + import tax.
on bikes or most of a complete bike about 14% import tax on purchase price PLUS shipping. Then 20% VAT on purchase + shipping + import tax.
+ the UK delivery Co's 'admin fee' for colecting your taxes!!
Basically, final cost to you will be cost of (bike + shipping) x 1.38 ish
