[Closed] Unusual brake mounting problem

I've just fitted a pair of new forks (Reba) that have 'post' mounts and my brake caliper (MPH) is 'IS' mount. Rotors are 160mm which probably doesn't help. I've done a bit of looking around on the net and can't find a suitable adapter. I can't be the first person to fit new (ish) forks on an older bike.

Any ideas anyone?

as above you'll need a 180mm disk for that combo.

Well I just did a search to find a good price on that Hope adapter and a got a link to a thread on this forum about the same problem a few weeks ago which led me to this - A2Z Adapter I.S. to P.M. To Keep 160mm which should do nicely. Thanks Andy.

I be very wary of the A2Z adapter, as when I looked on their website they didn't have a I.S to P.M mount, and looking at the pic on wiggle just doesn't work, threads in wrong holes.

But I did see that KCNC do Disc Brake Adapters and I sure I seen one to keep 160mm. worth checking it out.

I concur with MTB rob I bought the a2z one above and its for an IS fork with POST mount caliper. The solution is this giant specific adaptor which is specifically to solve this problem.

This component allows you to fit IS brakes to Post mount forks without changing rotor size. I've used them on Magura, Giant and Shimano IS brakes.

STW to the rescue again. Yep, I can see how those Giant adapters will fit - luckily I hadn't yet ordered the A2Z ones. Thanks guys
