don't need a pad and looking for good value,

next trunks do me fine. Don't know what you'd need specifically for biking. probably knot open boxers, as you don't want you clackers slipping out and ending up somewhere unexpected.
I've got a pair of icebreaker merino shorts that I can't wear on the bike as the seam sits directly under my sitbones.
