[Closed] Uh-oh: potential numpty headset fitting error

Have just been attempting to fit a new headset- Cane Creek S8.
Put everything back together and I can see steerer tube between the crown and the bottom cup.

What are the odds that I've fitted the top cup at the bottom and visa versa?

Or have I done something else wrong?

If you'd done that, wouldn't the writing be upside down? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Could the bearings be in the wrong way around?

Is the race fitted to the fork crown properly? Give it a bit of a jiggle!!!!

Looks like the crown race isnt seated at all.
Wooden mallet time.

Youve not left the old crown race on and put the new one on top have you?

Yeah looks like you've left the old crown race on. The misaligned logos on the cups is a much bigger crime though!
