Currently got some 700x40c Marathon Extreme DD on, and they are draggier than a Blackpool stag night cabaret. Having to pedal downhill isn't why I go out on the bike so I could do with a change.

Riding roughly 50% off road/gravel/poor surface paths/muddy riverside, 50%tarmac, 0%gnar. I like not falling over and not puncturing too often, but would like a little more speed. Wheels are labelled 622x19mm so not super wide by today's standards, but a proper roadie tyre would look silly and not help in the gloopy stuff. I've given up on ever catching up on the Tripster thread, I'll bet there's something in there, though I have more room to play with. Cheers all.

Just remembered I have some WTB nano in 2.1, sitting unloved in the cellar. I might give them a few runs out to try them. I never put them on because the tread looked a bit too XC.

On One Gravel roads. Have put over 2k miles on them and still have tread on the back. Faster rolling, grippier and comfier than the Vittoria Randoneurs they replaced. I'll be fitting more when they need replacing.

There's too many Vittoria tyres on the P-X website Ton, can you pop a link up as to which ones. I'm guessing Randonneur or Voyager? I might have a run over to their shop and have a look at the tread on a few.

I had a pair of those and found they punctured really easily.
Shame, as otherwise they where ace.

It's those Randonneurs I replaced with the Gravel Roads. The Gravel roads are better in every way on and off tarmac.

Well, they're both worth a punt, might get the Randos as spares for the travel box and try them both. Cheers.
